can i ever catch a break?
Can I ever catch a break?
Lol not the one like i caught today either hahaha
After having my car down for an entire year i finally got the tranny back in there....
Well today i was testing it to see why it wasnt downshifting....at 65 i floored it to see if it would and got the suprise of a fucking lifetime....
KA FUCKING BOOM!!!!!
BANG BANG BANG.....BANG!
Lol i guess somehow my ujoint got real worn and the driveshaft got set free....
The driveshaft said "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" as it continued to hit everything underneith my car as it got set free at 6000 rpms.
LOL I swear i could break a bowling ball with a plastic hammer in a sandbox lol
It was funny cuz i thought it was the tranny that blew up and i tried to hold my arm up to protect my face cuz i thought something was gonnna shoot up through the floorboard at me lol
the driveshaft is all torn up.....I dont know what else is....I hadnt taken a look yet.....lol the muffler has a HUGE dent in it though
I guess i could be worse....lol it might be i dont know.....at least it wasnt the front of it.....cuz i dont like pole volting.....it dont look fun

I did that in my truck.. broke the shaft, took a chunk outta the yoke, broke the transfer case tailshaft and beat the piss outta the floorboard.

Whats awesome is that your brakes dont stop your engine when your shaft isnt connected. I tried putting it in park and all i heard was GRRRRRRRRRRRR. Had to shut off the engine.. i expect you to buy a new shaft, and new u-joints.. and hope to god your didnt crack your tailshaft or yoke.
invest in a safety loop?

ive delt with that for three years in my truck. Wont happen again. My car is basically stock yet it keeps breaking more and more stuff. It was a trap by the previous owner. He knew what was comming.
