=They still make the 300 straight six? that Was a strong motor, It'd pull it No doubt, but as far as the "?", Yes a v6 will pull it, maybe not fast and struggle up BIG hills but it'll do it.

Yeah it will but it will be a strugling. My buddy use to have a v-6 f150 5speed can't remember the year but it was proabably at a 99-00. We use to tow a decent size boat around but like already stated it struggled. Every hill we came to we would have to downshift. Starting on a hill/boat ramp was a bitch.

    I have a V6 5 speed 00 F150... check out www.v6f150.com

And the 5 speed has a 3500 pound town limit, the auto v6 is rated @ 5000 with tow package. The motor is a stroke 3.8 mustange engine. its 4.2 liters

thats the anwere i was looking for, and thanks everyone.

its not like like im looking at just v6's its just the over winter budget beater and want something new that will last. +v6 is a lil better with these normal 3.15 gas.

but hey beats a saturn that leaks 2 quarts a week

i was saying for the F-150, i'd be surprised if that F-150 got decent gas millage being a V-6 my old work truck was a 1500 with a V6, i was lucky to get 12mpg and i actually drove it decent
