I'm looking for a new camera.

I'm looking for something $200-300 a bit more if it makes all the difference.

I need a camera that I can use to point and shoot that will take consistently good pictures.

I've tried a few other lesser expensive $80-150 cameras and it seems that I've got to take at least 10 pictures of something to get one decent picture.

I think you'd like the one I've got. It's the Canon PowerShot S5IS advanced point and shoot. I got mine for about $400 and that was well over a year ago.
