When we got bored in Afghanistan we'd go around dropping rocks on them and watching them burst. They are not really spiders, but just related to them and Scorpions as they are a separate group of Arachnid known as Sepulgids. They are also found in the Southwest of the US.

When i got stationed in New Mexico we were in our house on base for like 2 days when the wife wakes me up in the middle of the day (i worked nights) freaking out saying she caught something in the garage.
