Camaro SS or Trans Am WS6 ???????
I am looking to get an of course LS1, but I can't decide between the Camaro SS or the Trans Am WS6. I do want to build the motor work on the interior and exterior. I have a lot of pros and cons about both vehicles. Can't decide what year is best and if m6 or a4. If anyone can post some replies I sure would appreciate it.

Depends on what you want? The WS6 has more flash but the SS has the subtle yet powerful looks.
Id get an M6 personally, but thats becuase I dont like autos.
When I get the money Im gonna get a SS 6spd, leather and ttops.

If you want to drag race it, go with the A4. If you want to have a hell of a lot of fun driving and even get a little bit better gas mileage, get the M6. I think the TA turns more heads than a Camaro. But, then, I also like simplicity. Looks are the only difference between the two. If you fancy one more than the other, that's what you should get.

They are basically the same car. It just depends on which look you like better. The WS6 is very in-your-face, where the Camaro is more subtle, as already posted.

Thanks, sounds good so far. For sure t-tops, m6 cuz if i spend the money I want to enjoy it. I had and LT1 Trans Am and the motor for the headlight kept going out and it was expensive. As far as the motor heard anything as far as any year having a better, stronger, or comes with more hp? What about curb weight?

01 & 02 have the better intake. But any LS1 car is going to have a good amount of power.

I've been on this board almost since it started way back in 98. This has been one of the most hotly-debated, flame-throwin' subjects ever to appear on here, as invariably the TA guys start flaming the SS guys or vice versa.
It depends on whether or not you like a more flamboyant body style with the aggressive flared nostrils of the WS6 or the more clean-looking but still aggressive look of the SS. I like them both and If i were in your shoes, I'd be sitting the fence too.
