cage fighting?

is anybody on here into cage fighting/UFC? if so i need some help with calming my nerves for my fight i got in about a month. i'm fighting a kid that is 5'11" and weighs 145 and beings im only 5'8" and 135 pounds im kinda getting nervous haha. my trainner says that i will do fine because of my stand up and ground and pound but he's got the submissions cause of his length. how do i calm my nerves!!!

The more you think about something the worse it gets, but granted it's not going to be something that you can get rid of completely it's human nature. Best advice I can give you is to suck it up cupcake, your not doing cage fighting to be a wuss your doing it cause you want to. If you loose then you loose, but if you win than you win, just remember your trainning and get in there and give him hell!! BTW it will never turn out as good if your nervous, before the fight take some really deep breaths to relax yourself and you will do fine.

so pretty much go in with the confidence that im gonna win and i most likely will and learn form the mistakes if i lose?

Yea man, that is one thing I can say about the military is that it teaches you things like that which goes a long ways, expecially confidence. I mean fuck yea I was scared as shit when I hit boots on ground in Iraq, but it didn't stop me from doing my job!!

lol and ya my uncle was over in iraq ince first desert storm up until this year an said was scared his first time too.

it's my first fight in the cage ya, i mean i've been in school fights but every teenage boy gets in those and i've never got into any since i've started training so i don't get in any trouble with my trainner.

Yea that's gonna happen of course, but this is completely different than a school fight. Just don't get to cocky you will be fine.

ya that's what my trainner told me and idk if it's becaus eit's goin to be infront of more people or what i just hope i can get up to the title fight because that kid is too cocky thats holding it
