Bums poppin up everywhere

Is it just me or are there alot of bums popping up at stop lights and street corners? I don't know why it interests me I'm just curious if it's happening anywhere else. I'm getting tired of getting stared at at stop lights for money.

This is a part of living in or around any big city I think. In Chicago they are everywhere. I see at least 3-4 a day going to work. I see probably 10+ people on the street corners selling stuff.

Its the ecomany, the sad thing is some bums at street cornors are probaly better off then you or I.

I know what you mean though. Even the people selling stuff like water on hot days. Think about it. They buy a case of water for say $3 and then sell that case for $1 each for a revenue of $21 ($24 - $3). That is a great return on investment

Yea the is a good ROI haha, all the ones I see have signs that say I'm hungry or anything helps, and on the inside I feel bad like I wanna give em so cash but then I think well why can't they go work there asses off like I just got done doing

I've seen them more down around Phoenix than I've ever seen anywhere else. Not that AZ is worse off than anyone else, but I think the mild year around climate attracts them. California is the same way.
I don't see it much up here around Prescott though.

I never viewed it as any different than 30 years ago when I visited New York and had homeless people trying to wash the windshield and ask for money. They've been doing it forever.

I will say that about 2 years ago when I was down in Phoenix trying to go through a Wendys drive through, there were 3 or 4 of them trying to stop me, I floored it and nearly ran one of them over

I can definately feel sympathy for them, but I also worry about my safety, as I've seen what people are capable of when at the end of their rope. I don't go anywhere without a gun anymore.

I agree firebird, it's getting scary what people doing now adays, I want to get my concealed hand gun license when I'm 21

Good idea, and you aren't alone. More and more people are getting conceal carry permits than ever before, and gun sales are out of site. So I know I'm not the only nut that carries a gun

We don't need a conceal carry permit here in AZ but most of us get one anyway. Taking the classes about gun safety and how the different laws work are worthwhile.
