This is bullshit!!
So I step out of my vehicle to start work today and I get a phone call from my buddy. I answer it see what he wants and can tell something is wrong instantly because he is crying in the background. I think to myself OHHH FFFFFUUUUUUU because this just doesn't happen. He then breaks the bad news to me..........one of my good friends (Our good friends) died last night in a motorcycle accident. This is the guy that did my exhaust on my Maro and helped with other shit. The same guy who has a 69 Maro SS with a 576 ci motor with NOS He leaves behind a little 8 year old son who has a heart defect I've been to many funerals and had many people die, but this is the first one of my group of friends and first student since graduation of HS (I've been lucky to some extent)

May the lord bless him and his family. Though I can't say I know what you or his loved ones are feeling, I do know the shock of people I know from school passing away, as there have been at least 5 that know of. Rip fellow gearhead....

Many years ago a friend passed on his bike. One of the most sobering phone calls ever....even came from his phone.

That sucks. Motorcycles have always equaled "dangerous" to me. I have to ask, not that you even know - was he wearing a helmet?

Thanks guys/gals for the blessings! He wasn't wearing a helmet but it wouldn't have helped. He took a corner too fast and launched. He hit a barbed wire fence and multiple trees. He bike went 600 feet into a field He was going way way too fast He layed in the field for 9 hours before he was found by the land owner. They say he died instantly which I hope to God he did because sitting 9 hours in pain and suffering would be horrible. He son is not taking it very good He left behind tons of cars/toys besides the crazy ass Maro. He was building his son a crazy Nova for his 16th birthday even though he has a while til he turns 16. He was that type of man

White with Hugger Stripes- 1997 30th Anniversary SS
Sad to hear, I've been riding bikes for about 8 years now and just recently sold my Busa from financial issues. Was planning on getting another bike this year, but after my daughter was born, decided to can the idea of getting another bike as I don't need to add to my chances of leaving my little girl behind prematurely. I've had my fair share of close calls as a result of cagers and was lucky enough to survive a motorcycle accident.
