My buddy 6litereater goes there. Says it's about a 6 mile hike to the actual bridge. And the bridge goes nowhere.

I've never been to the bridge. But, I did live in Wrightwood I loved living there.

just came back
MAP B - the bridge, D - Julia Pfeiffer Burns park
pics
somewhere on 395
Azusa, CA
this was the only trail sign out there
I didn't see any rattlers but yucca plants...
and cacti were enough to stay away from
I didn't mind any of the water crossings in 90 degree weather and there was plenty of them
I missed the trail climbing up at some point and I just followed the river, it was ok until I had to climb up here
after 3hrs of hiking
a little celebration since the last time I hiked for so long was years ago
built date
from the bottom
the jump spot, I guess
must be good fisherman to live 20 minutes from the nearest store

on the way back I hiked with a couple I met by the bridge, we saw somebody getting airlifted out
on the PCH
Julia Pfeiffer Burns park
what a place to live
Bixby bridge
Awesome!
Candlestick Park
and back home after about 1300 miles and few good hours of hiking - I'm happy I did that!

Dude, the drive up the 1 is amazingly beautiful. I made that same drive south in 2007. This makes me want to drive up to San Fran again.....
