Brian HEAD Welch new Music (the dude from korn)

I grabbed this CD about a week ago, cant stop playing it! smokes the new Metallica imo.

CD Head - Save me from myself.
Brian Head Welch, formely of korn, proves he is a great musician.

    Highlights
    -awesome lyric content
    -dynamic singing contrast
    -excellent ambient music
    -dynamic music content
    -excellent guitar riffs

    downfall
-no guitar shred (but its ok, only buckethead or john 5 could write solos to fit Heads music)

    the first video, song flush

I feel this is the best song "Washed by Blood"

two more great songs: Die Religion Die, and Rebel

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

wow, he picked up right where KoRn left off in 01 didn't he? I mean, that sounds like it belongs on all the good KoRn albums...is it safe to say he was kinda their #1 guy?

    thats exactly how I feel...

everyone thought head and monkey where just guitarist and Davis wrote everything..

Now I hear Head singing and writting songs just as dark as early korn but displaying more talent, while still singing about topics that kids and young adults struggle with all day long.

I think its a very mature sounding CD as far as song composition and depth.

    Korn is fucked without him

korn is a good band... the problem is john davis's vocal effects... to damned much effects... he needs to just sing like he did on thier first album...

agreed, they left the raw sound and become very processed.

davis was known for being an emotinal wreck when he sang and his speak singing, was his trademark

Ps. I was crushed when he left Korn as they are my favorite band, but man oh man am I loving these songs he did. Kinda makes you wonder if he was actually the brains behind the scenes. We all know hes the better guitar player of the 2

Brian Welch is a pretty interesting guy and I'll definately be getting the album but an interview he gave was pretty comical. Not picking on him for wanting to change but it struck me as funny. A quote from the article. "For example, the Jesus tatoo on my hand keeps me from masturbating and I haven't been with a woman since my ex-wife left me almost five years ago."

Which book? I am guessing you read "save me from myself", not "washed by blood"

I just picked up "save me from myself" I will start reading it this weekend.

Another great music book... The Herion diaries by Nikki Six... amazing stories and very fucked up. Each page of the book is an excerpt from pages/notes from his journal.. Rick James says "cocaine is a helluva drug"... after reading "herion diaries" thats a drug that fucks with you
