Brake question?

After 24k miles I had my brakes changed front and back. So I noticed a squeaking noise When I brake so I figured it was new brakes but after 3 weeks it still squeaking. so I looked at the rotors and I can see scratches and little grooves. If they properly machine my rotors wouldn't they be slick like glass? I had a local pep boys do the job I paid $360 out the door

The pads used are Akebono's

Sounds like you're being hard on the brakes right off the bat and didn't heat cycle first

Turns out the owner of the pep boys was into today and he is a cool dude shot the shit for like 30 minutes as we where looking at video of the day my car was being serviced and at no point and time did the mechanic machine the rotors....he just changed the brake pads...own felt horrible and we worked something out. Nothing to do with heat or driving just poor service.....in this day and age who would have thunk it.....

Ummm Pep Boys aren't individually owned. Though a Pep Boys "tech" not doing something isn't the least bit shocking
