Bracket or Heads Up racing?
Which do you think is cooler/better...basically which do you prefer to watch.
I like heads up racing-Nothing like seeing 2 cars go balls out against eachother. Never really "got" bracket racing.

Bracket racing is cool since it is a racers game and he has to know what his car will run. It takes a lot more skill to bracket race. I like to watch heads up providing the cars are evenly matched. I don't want to watch a civic run a Z06 Vette. So I can't vote because there is a I don't know poll.

The poll is about watching, not doing, right? I am a bracket racer and I think generally bracket racing puts a lot more pressure on the pilot (within reason)... However I love watching the professionals. You may want to clarify the poll.

I have never tried bracket racing. I know I would suck. My car is consistent, I am not. I only race to beat myself though.
I would certainly prefer to watch evenly matched cars go head-to-head.

Most successful bracket racers not only make their cars go as fast as possible but also are able to accurately predict the ET to within .02 or closer...
When cloud cover dictates that you dial .01 quicker and you hit your number without backing off you have done a pretty darn good job, especially if you hit a good light and are fender to fender with the other lane at the finish.
If you actually understand all the dynamics of bracket racing it is extremely exciting as it equalizes the playing field.
That said, nitro and a top fuel dragster is one of the most exciting experiences you can have with your pants on.Last edited by tnthub; 06-18-2007 at 01:30 PM.

Heads up. I hate to loose to a 16 sec car because I ran too fast and broke out.

and how can you say you'd lose by crossing the finish line first and breaking out. ever think that if you get caught sleeping at the light since you have a quicker dial-in ET that he could cross the line 1st ahead of you, regardless if you broke out or not? what makes you think you could catch and then overtake him? nice cocky assumption...
racing heads up allows for margin of error for the faster car. bracket racing levels the playing field. if no one wants to lose to a 16 sec car, then work on your RT and do your best to be consistant time after time. like i said above, DRIVER'S SKILL. just because someone has the fastest car or the mosst HP out there, doesn't mean they will win in bracket racing, that's why it's so much better...
