It's not competing with the Camaro, but the introduction and release of it will compete with the return of the Camaro. Either way it will be fine. It's huge difference in affordability so it won't matter TOO much

Anything that draws position attention to GM is a good thing. The introduction of the C6 Z06 caught a lot of peoples attention, especially those in the turbo Porsche and Ferarri crowd. The new supercharged Corvette will likely demolish everything in its path, and show just what GM is capable of. As I see it, all that attention will only BENEFIT the new Camaro. You'd be surprised how many "enthusiasts" still believe the 4th gen F-bodies have something along the line of a 250HP 305. GM will prove to the entire automotive community that their performance powerplants are some of the best in the industry, if not THE best!

compare price of this to the price of a camaro, the people buying vettes are not usually gonna be lookin at buyin something in the range of a camaro, it will not be competition for it

Save your $ for the vette, I saw the Camaro @ the Denver auto show and I DON'T LIKE IT! the front end looks like it belongs on a Caddy and the rear is totally out of place, on top of that, it's too big!

GM is really dropping the ball here. Why didn't they just update a 1st gen like ford did with the stang. They complicated this, and in the mean time ford is owning the market

You guys cannot be all judgemental on the 5th gen as it is not even released yet.

The car is going to be a beast as well and the proud days of the pony car wars will be back in full stride.

I am going to buy a 2010 model and race the f*ck out of it!

The Dodge Challenger looks the best of the "retro-muscle" cars. The Camaro needs to be downsized, smaller wheels, redesigned front end, and more of a boot like on the older ones.
