blew the engine in my 75 on the way to school
went to pass somebody on the highway and when it downshifted the shit hit the fan. i get out of the car after coming to a stop and a few times to crank it up and hearing nothing but a click and starter wine. i looked underneath to conferm what had happened and sure enough there is oil spewing out everywhere. i dont have the time or money to putanother engine in it so my only choise is to sell it and find a beater

Get a cheap reman shortblock. Auto parts store short block should only be a few hundred. Or a goodwrench 350 (1400$ from scoggin dickey or summit) if you're looking for it to last a while.

Engine swap= one day. Car sale=much longer. A '75 roller ain't worth shit so your beater would probably break down on you frequently as well

Was waiting for that... By the time you get headers, mounts, harness, sensors, computers, blabla... It's not fucking cheap. People say it is because you can get a 6.0 for $600, but all the rest of the stuff is expensive as hell

Wasn't this a blue '75 you were contemplating selling not too long ago? It's a good thing you didn't - the buyer would be cussing you out right now.

But you would not know if he done something to it, or anything. Your not a dealer, now if I owned a dealership and he blew the motor in the first week. I would possibly try and work things out, to hold reputation. But I am not, so tough luck. I am not a business and don't warranty shit, surely not warranty a 30+ year old object. It ran find when you bought it and you agreed to the terms. Also it's 30+ years old, anything could happen.

Trust me, I owned my business long enough to learn some things. I should have said not in the business of cars. I'd work on peoples computers, old as shit ones. With a software problems and 2 weeks latter they try to complain it over heats... Open it up and there's water damage, sorry took pics with time stamped (I take pics when they come in also). Hand them another copy of our signed agreement and tell them to please leave.
