birth control question
so my gf's on the pill, we hadnt messed around for a few days, and the one night she was taking her pill (lights were off in the room), and accidentally took one of her end of the month sugar pills. She realized the mistake the next day, and that night took the correct pill for that day. 2 days later we had messed around. So then she starts spotting and thought she was gonna get her period. Shes been spotting for a few days now, and it has me paranoid. We havent messed around since the one time after that. She said she hasnt had any weird feelings at all, apart from a headache yesterday, and last night she wasnt feeling good (she said it could ahve been the cheap beer at bowling). So i guess im being paranoid now. Is there anything to worry about if she takes the wrong pill one night but keeps back on after that?

i would think if she missed one day it wouldn't affect anything, especially if she took the right pill the next day.
next time, tell her to keep the lights on in the kitchen.

Home pregnancy tests are cheap and pretty accurate...
Usually, missing one pill isn't catastrophic but "usually" doesn't always happen so get a test, have her take it, and when the results are hopefully as you desire, celebrate by fooling around.
My wife has been on the pill for almost 20 years and we have never had a "problem". I'm getting snipped sometime next month because at age 51, I don't want any little critters running around. She is looking forward to not taking the pill.

Need some more information. Depends on what part of the cycle she missed the pill. If it was in the last week before the sugar pills, you should be okay. Missing one day should not be catastrophic, however, you should always play things safe anyways till she starts the next pack of pills.

Has she been taking antibiotics of any kind? They override the effectiveness of the pills. Other than that you should be fine. Spottings not a definate indicator of pregnancy, she may just need to change pills (wife went through that about a year ago). Watch the antibiotics though, seriously bro.

Advice to any guy that's dating, engaged, married, or just banging a girl that's on the pill:
Get the little piece of paper that comes with the package of pills and READ IT! It's like a little instruction manual of what to do and watch for. If you can't get your hands on the little booklet itself, then www. the brand of pills and read about the "side effects" on the web. Stay educated and know your enemy. Some girls' will try sneaky shit with the pills (entrapment) so if you already know what the score is and how she's supposed to be taking them, you can avoid that situation entirely. Or if she's missed taking a pill or two and doesn't know what to do, at least you will (it's usually doubling up the next dose, not falcon punch ).

My wife* took her BC every day at the same time within a 3 hour window for years, never missing a pill.
Ask our 4 year old how well that worked out.
