Guys if any dealer is working on a car and finds that aftermarket parts caused something to break they do not warrenty it. If you bought a new camaro, put a cam in it and the valve springs cracked cause they couldnt support the cam do you think GM would warrenty it? F NO.

Well there is already the transmission problem now the 5.0.. Long standing rule never buy a first year new car .. Not sure How many months its been out , you know the 2011 came out in 2010 now the 2012 is out .. WOW..
Way to be sure, buy a low mile 2010 and drop a supercharger on it and prob have some money leftover ...

Thank you, you guys are being silly. Any modification that damages parts covered under the warrenty will come with a denial of warrenty. I had to argue with braeger chevrolet for an hour about my shift light in my T/A and how it could not have possibly damaged my valve train.

Sebring Silver- 00 Camaro SS/09 LS3 Vette
I have a 2011 Ford Mustang V6, which shits all over pretty much anything GM has to offer at the moment. Fuck GM and their Union bailout.
LOL with that said, the new 5.0's have ALLLLLL SORTS of issues. I've been on Ford forums quite a bit since getting the v6 and I can say that the 2011 and 2012 Mustangs are gonna cost Ford a good amount of customers and money.
The 5.0 and the V6 share the same transmission, of which they both have issues.
The 5.0 and the V6 share separate engine noise issues
The 5.0's #8 piston likes to fail, stock. But it especially fails after a canned tune. Ford guys are big on canned tunes. Everything with them are handhelds.
The 5.0 also has piston slap problems.
Ford is a bastard when it comes to fucking over their customer base. This is nothing new. Remember when they were suing guys for making calendars? When I bought my corvette the sevice guys said Mod it, we don't care. But get a Camaro? And forget it.

Not really. And I personally dont take it out on GM cars themselves that the company was run by idiots for some time. Next year the V6 camaro will be at 323 hp. And the current camaro even comes with a working transmission, which is rumored to be standard equipment next year as well.

Ford went looking for bailout money? They were offered bailout money just liek the rest of the big 3 and did not take it.
I dont take the bailout out on GMs cars just the company as a whole. We as American tax payers have already paid for the cars once and then they still offer us a crappy product at the same price as its competitors.

I buy my cars used so technically I am not helping GM.

And this thread topic proves everyone else's product is just as crappy or crappier... No trans problems on Camaros or self grenading engines or many noise problems either as listed in PhillyLS1's post
Yes Ford went with GM and Chrysler for the initial we need bail out money talks. They leaned on investors after they all got shit from the government for all taking seperate private jets there.

I also understand they're having substantial clutch issues, and that clutch issue is causing a potentially hazardous situation. It has to do with the engagement of the clutch.
