Best work out supplement?
Well Spring Break is almost here, and I need to work off all the fat I gained since I turned 21. I also quit going to the gym for practically a year, so I am in shitty shape (I think). I want to get the most out of my work outs, and I doubt the shit I eat is gonna help me out so I figure I'll do like everyone else and use some supplements. What do you guys think works best? I know eating chicken after working out is good for protein, but what can I get at a GNC or other nutrition store that will get me the best results?

To be honest if you want to lose what you gained by spring break you are cutting it pretty short. Don't crash diet.
Things to help you lose:
Diet (most important) eat healthy small meals throughout the day to help boost your metabolism. Eat whole wheat breads, brown rice, chicken, fruits and vegetables. Stay away from junk food and constant consumption of alcohol if you want to lose weight.
Cardio, very important for burning calories. Burning excess calories creates a calorie deficit which is key to losing weight.
Workouts, do higher reps per sets to help burn more calories.
Supplements, these are not miracle pills or powders, with whatever you choose you need work hard to see gains. I am taking White Flood which helps with energy and pump throughout the workout, Green Mag which is a creatine which helps with strength, and ON whey which I use to help get more protein in my diet.
To play devil's advocate, PH's or prohormones (which are precursers to steroids) are fairly cheap and can help you lose bodyfat and gain muscle mass and strength in a really short time period. They are very toxic and should not used if you do not do the proper research. But if you are not serious about a strict diet and workout there is no need to even look into PH's.

If your spring break is less than 8 weeks away, don't bother, there isn't enough time to make a difference.
Also it doesn't really matter. All the chicks will be drunk anyway, easy pickings.

I liked animal pak for a multi vitamin. Won't work if you're a wuss about pills because it's around 11 big ones. N.O. Explode was good pre workout. Only way to lose weight that quick is anorexia

Yeah but depending on what school (specific campus/level(hs or uni)/area), that could be anywhere in the next 2 months.
Example, I go to UGA and my best friend goes to GATech, my spring break is a week before his. And my brother's spring break is about a month after mine (Because he's still in high school, longer school year, etc).

you want to be cut fast, follow this:
Increase:
-increase protein intake
-increase fiber intake
-increase water intake
-increase fresh green intake
-increase oranges
elimate:
-sugar
-artifical sweetners
-coffee
-alcohol
-fast food
-cut down how much you eat
-bread (slows down metabolism)
Excersize:
-cardio
-weightlift
Its all about training yourself into a new habbit of life. here is why this list works..
Protein- key factor in muscle development, surpresses hunger
Fiber- key factor for breaking down food (digestion) surpresses hunger
Water- if your body does not enough water intake, it stores its just like a camel. surpresses hunger
Fresh greens- salads, brocoli, etc. Naturally speeds up your metabolism.. burns fat
Oranges- orange peels increases thermogenesis in your body.. burns fat (eat more of the white part, the orange outside is very bitter unless you can make a smoothie with other natural sweetners such as fruit))
The best protein and fiber supplements are by Integrated Supplements. They are the cleanest and made with great quality product. They also have an excellent knowledge base regarding eating and working out correct.

If you're trying to trim the fat you need to count calories. You wanna burn more then you consume. Supplements are exactly what they sound like, supplements for something your body isn't getting. I wouldn't worry too much about this in your case, and don't worry about protein if you're trying to tone up.
A pound of fat is 3,500 calories. 2,000 calories is a rough average of what people need to eat in a day (more or less depending on height, weight, gender, etc.) A lot of guys focus on building muscle in the gym. This is great if you want to get big, but it will not burn the fat on top of the muscle. The types of workouts most guys shy away from (yoga, calisthenics, etc.) are the types of workouts that will help with burning the most calories. Also try to drink only water for the next 8 weeks. Believe it or not, we consume most of our calories through what we drink. Just my .02

I'm talking about losing like, 10 pounds. I've already lost 5 in the past 2 weeks. I just want to get more toned mainly and more energy when I work out. I like working out when I first wake up or late at night after work.
