sadly you cant really vote....

Black Sabbath are the founders of metal but without The Beatles (ozzys favorite band) you would not have Black Sabbath. If you dont have black sabbath you might not have Iron Maiden or metallica/megadeth whom started a new genre of metal/rock

Another band to vote for that was not on the list.... THE KINKS... without them who knows if we would have distortion. The Kinks where one of the first bands to cut their speakers to create a distorted sound for their guitars. Without distortion where would rock/metal be. (let alone an genre of music ((excluding rap)))

the greatest band are not your favorite bands, greatest bands are who started a brand new genre...

-the kinks (distortion)
-the beatles (bass chords, boy bands, revolting rock, influenced ozzy)
-black sabbath (metal, doom, drop tuning, insane bass playing)
-iron maiden (sword metal, bass gallops, epic song lengths)
-death, metallica/megadeth (thrash metal, death metal)
-pantera (groove metal)
etc.....

so with that being said, i vote The Kinks, no distortion no rock/metal
