    Interesting note: When Cliff died, Les Claypool was one of the bassists interviewed. He had been a huge Metallica fan for a while, but the rest of the band knew that he was too funky for the role he would have played in Metallica.

    Les auditioned for the job but they all agreed his style of playing didn't fit the band.
