Before you had a LS1
I was wondering what everyones previous cars were before they got their LS1. How big of a jump in power was it? I saw the thread about what kind of car you currently have and I thought this would be fun.
I personally drove my parents VW new beetle. Please control the jokes about the bug - i got plenty of that from my friends before i got the Z28. So i went from 115hp to 305. But figure the ls1 is underrated. So my DD power basically tripled.

silver- 1998 Z28
i had a 91rs 305. shorties, no cats, w/3" flowmaster. it ran pretty good. i never took it to the track or anything, but it was "fast" in my sense, but the ls1 definately blew it out of the water. if i had to take a guess, i'd figure the 305 was running 220-240rwhp.

Black on Black- 2001 Camaro SS
I had a 98 Black v-6 Camaro, before I had the big daddy(SS)! I wish I still had the v-6 for every day driving, it had some nice wheels and awesome stereo.

I had a 1994 Crown Vic. That car determined that I would never again own a car without a V8 and rear wheel drive.

My first vehicle was a 1994 Plymouth Voyager. Its kind of sad though, that minivan had 162hp, and my Camaro (stock) only has 190hp. And thats factory rated, I have no idea what it is now after more than 200K miles.

I didn't vote because I had a 72 Chevelle with 475hp and a 89 Formula 305 Tuneport. Traded in the formula for the TA and sold the chevelle at the same time.

I had a 2000 Mustang GT. I test drove the 2000 Trans Am and immediately got rid of the Mustang GT. End of story, lesson learned.
