Real men drank whiskey, rum, vodka, you know the hard stuff.....Beer makes you fat and lazy, plus 98% of American beers taste like piss flavored water & are weak as hell. No wonder the Brits & Aussies think American beer drinkers are pussies.....And I did sight a specific beer I'll drank. It just so happens to be the heaviest of all beers.....

I make all my own beer I won't buy commercial beer. My stuff is typically similar style to Guinness (different taste though) if you want something to compare it to. Not the store bought crap though, that tastes like shit.

great....now we have beer fags. Beer is the new wine. People think just because they can name some unheard of beer that makes 15 beers a year or they learned to make it on their own that somehow they're beer experts. Put all the little micro brews, mom and pop brews, and home brews all in a category and any of the mainstream beers in america sell more beer in a day than those guys sell all year. There's a reason for that. You don't have special beer tastes.....you're just special.

I don't even drink and I'm getting a kick out of all the sudden beer-snobbery in this thread

I hear this shit all the time. The new thing is to see just how obscure the beer is that you drink and anyone that drinks mainstream beer doesn't know shit about beer. I know enough about beer to know I don't want to drink something that tastes like someone washed their feet in it. Then they charge $10 a six pack for it. Who can get drunk at those prices? I drink 6 while I load the rest in the cooler.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I guess all the "housewife work" has ruined your sense of taste (we already know your sense of anything else is crap so I guess your sense of taste in beer is no better). Surely you realize that Coors and Bud are made for the lowest common denominator (oh-oh, a polysyllabic word - will he comprehend it?????) and taste like pig swill.
Yes, they do make more in one run than most craft beer makers make in a year. It tastes like it too...67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

This post is full of dumbassery from start to finish. So what if the mainstream beers sell more in a day than mirco brewers do in a year. To think this fact means mircobrews all taste horrible is just pure ignorance. Guess what chevy sells more cars than porsche, ferrari and mercedes combined. It must be because their cars are better in every way. The reason the mainstream ones sell so well is brand loyalty. A majority of the old farts in this country have killed their beer taste buds and will only drink one select beer. Miller, Coors, Pabst, Bud etc. More and more people are driking specialty beers and you can see this as even the mainstream companies are trying to jump on the band wagon. They are making speciality brews, like miller Fortune, or buschs black crown etc.
The truth is there are micro brews and specialty brews that will appeal to anyone. The range of flavor is huge, from bitter, to fruity to down right meaty. I like micro brews, there are a few bars around here that serve 50+ beers all on tap. I like going in there and getting 8 or so different kinds. I also like drinking the mainstream beers like MGD or Pabst during parties or family get togethers as well. Miller is the biggest mainstreamer around here, since this is Milwaukee. Pabst has really been making its way back, a lot of the younger crowd is drinking it quite heavily now.Last edited by Zinergy; 05-06-2014 at 12:28 PM.

this post makes my ignorant post look like a thesis on brain surgery.......I didn't ask about the nuances of micro-brews. I completely understand micro-brews. My brother owns a restaurant that specializes in micro-brews. My point is that you small beer guys think you're special because you can name some off the wall beer no one has ever heard of and probably never will. The reality is MOST micro-brews suck balls and will never sell a fraction of the beer that any mainstream company sells and it's not because the owners have this thing about being filthy rich. It's because it's an inferior beer to the vast majority of people that drink beer. It has nothing to do with cars. People hate on mainstream beer because it's mainstream and then try to pass it off as being inferior to some beer brewed in a basement somewhere.
ps
since I know you're not that quick I typed this post extra slow for you

if you know the history of the big beer company's its really hard to support one of them...they are basically the equivalent of Wall street when it comes to what they have done to control the market. With that said, I still love to drink a bud light or coors light at the beach all day instead of a craft beer just because I can literally drink it all day without feeling like somebody pumped me full of air.
