Been feeling lazy/sluggish/bored as of late.
Been like this for several months now and I cannot find out what is causing this feeling of boredom. I'm passing my classes at school although at a snails pace, I got a new job I already hate, no drive to go out and several other things. Its like I would be content to just sit in my room and sleep the days away. Nothing excites me anymore, me and some friends plan on going sky diving Friday and honestly I could not care less just like I passed on the chance to go to a bachelor party in New Orleans for friend of mine I went to HS with. I have lost weight and went from 275 to 245 and yet I do not care. Their is no feeling of accomplishment or even just satisfaction with the fact I'm trimming down. I mean I have the who gives a fuck attitude going and I sit here ponder why I'm stuck in a rut it feels like. I'm sure someone else has experience something like this before on his/her life, just wondering what has some people done in the past to help them self get over this. Hell I'm looking to buy a sport bike for the sheer fact it might add some excitement to my life.

You call it the "rut"......as you get older it's called the "groove". It's common bro and it's a phase. Some last longer than others. Just have to force youself out and push through it. Life is what you make of it. If you wanna sit on your ass full time then that's what you'll get in return. There will come a time in your life that you wish you had the time to just sit on your ass.

Blue GMC Canyon- trans ams gone now
i know how ya feel cerwin. i've been goin through it myself for awhile. i got into working out and was feeling better and seeing results but lately nothing really gets me going enough to make me wanna do anything. for me it's a shitty feeling because i dont like to just sit around and not do anything all the time. i wanna get more involved with my friends and be more productive in my life. i do some things but i just wish i was doing more.

Cut one of your fingers off. You'll snap out of it then.

In all honesty, it sounds like you might have depression...

Loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed, avoiding friends/leaving the house, changes in weight (either large gain or loss), lethargic, tired all of the time....all those things you have said are symptoms of depression....

focus on something positive and be thankful for what you have. We all get into ruts but time to snap out of it!! You have to make that decision. Do it NOW!!
Don't let depression take you down....Start feeling good about yourself first and take back your life with healthy thoughts and actions.
Do you have anyone to help you out or support you (meaning talk to)??? Family? Close friend?

Shhh! There's a- hooker in the trunk
some people are affected by the seasons, ie winter time. in the winter there are less hours of daylight and become a bit depressed. it should clear up once its nice and warm out, and there are more hours of daylight, ie summer time. its called SAD, seasonal affective disorder. look it up. sounds kooky but i learned it in one of my psych classes.
