Bargain mansion- $75 million, with a catch..

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100622/...ion_unfinished

WINDERMERE, Fla. – The brochure promises a "monument to unparalleled success."

The 90,000-square-foot home for sale outside Orlando has 23 bathrooms, 13 bedrooms, 10 kitchens and three pools. All that and more for $75 million "as is."

    The catch? It's not finished.
Nicknamed "Versailles" by owner and timeshare tycoon David Siegel, the mansion hit the market recently as the largest home for sale in the United States. Construction was halted last year to save money in a recession that proved particularly hard on Siegel's industry.

The home also has a 20-car garage, a bowling alley, an indoor-roller rink, a movie theater, a video arcade, a fitness center, a baseball field and two tennis courts.

But the mansion's interior has no carpet, tile or interior walls.

sounds more like a fixer upper to me

Loved some of the comments there. Like this one:
Another example of over the top waste. How many good causes could have been helped with the money wasted on this monstrosity?
How does he/she know this person doesn't donate millions to charity, as most tycoons usually do? Also loved the one where they blamed capitalism for this monstrosity. Never hear any of these left wing loons say Oprahs $50,000,000 house is a waste...

LOL if you have 75 mill to blow up on a house, you can use the space for the 20 car garage as a room to keep spare parts. Then drop a couple million more and build a shop/garage to park all the cars.

You would have to be a billionaire to spend that much on a house.

Werd. Most of the ppl I know who made it big, usually came from the streets and didnt even have a roof over their head or food to eat. They are the ones who usually donate a bulk of their money to charity because they came up the hard way. People who make comments like that either dont know shit and are jelous.

Besides EVEN if he doesnt give back, who cares? Its his money, and he earned it (as long as he didnt rob a bank or do anything to hurt anyone in the process) I dont see the fuss. If everyone kept on giving money to charity and not spoiling themselves for their hard work, I dont think anyone would be rich.

A house like that isnt really a residence, its a stsus symbol. Most people will use it as a vacation house of some sort. A person who has that kind of $$, maintainance isnt an issue. Its like the guys driving ferrari's and lambo's. If they can afford 300k+ cars, you can bet your ass the last thing there crying about is gas/oil changes. I persoanlly wouldnt buy a house of that size. For less than half the price of that I can build a house in Beverly Hills with Tom Cruise as my neighbor.

True, I guess watching his antics would be more entertaining than getting whatever STD alba has.

Let me get this straight, you would rather have Tom Cruise as a neighbor, as opposed to Jessica Alba?????
