    RIP Bandit. I grew up in Redan, Georgia which is one of the places where some of Smokey and the Bandit were shot. The scenes where the cars go through the school football game are from my elementary school. Just up the road at a local hotel with bar he later filmed the starting scenes for Cannonball Run. All the kids in the area either thought they were Burt Reynolds or the Dukes as soon as they got a license no matter what car they were driving.
