Bad luck

So my poor old grandparents who are 80+ just recently were given a used car from my parents about 3 months ago. To replace there old beat up kia that had nothing but issues. So just last week by grandpa finally sold the kia for a grand to some lady down the street. Then yesterday my grandma gets in an accident and totals the new car(not her fault some young kid creamed her). Luckly she is ok just pretty shaken up about it 80 years old and this is her first accident. So now there stuck with out a car and im sure they wont get much for the car from the insurance since it was a 99 accord with roughly 140k on it, but it ran great and had no issues what so ever. They dont really have any bills as my parents and me/brother pay the majority of there bills for them. There only source of income is social securtity which is jack shit and they live well below the poverty line. So its not like they can just go out and get a new car. Shit a car payment would be almost 1/2 there income. Just sucks sometimes how things work out. If they had just held onto the kia for another week it would have been no big deal at least they would have still had a car to get around in.

That's really to bad. But, at least she wasn't hurt! She is very lucky in that respect.

I hope it all works out. Perhaps you can find them another car and all chip in or something. Or.... maybe it's time to figure something else out for them transportation wise.
