Meh mine was a bitch after my headers, i couldnt get a ratchet back there with out 2 universal joints.

I have no problem with #8, but do with some of the others because of the headers. That ratchet would be worse for me

!HVAC works pretty good too (race car), on my DD coil paks removal is a big help.

No need to remove the passenger side valve cover. Removing the coils and bracket(s) is all that is necessary. It takes all of 3-4 minutes, so yeah it save a lot of time. I can do all 8 in about 30 minutes.
And that Snap-On ratchet would probably make things more difficult.
