    "the Bachelor" sued over racism............

'The Bachelor' Sued for Racial Discrimination - Yahoo! TV

    Well............in the article

"Nathaniel Claybrooks and Christopher Johnson, both African-American, say they auditioned to be the next Bachelor last August in Nashville. When the two men arrived at the audition, Johnson claims they were asked what they were doing there. Once they said they were there to audition, Johnson says he and Claybrooks were escorted to the side of the room and excluded from the normal audition process -- which they attributed to their race."

Don't know if it's true or not.....but the show could use some diversity, no doubt.....I think I would make a good first black bachelor......

I have no problem with a black bachelor, or bachelorette. And if that were the case, I would also expect to see a predominantly black pool of contestants. Sometimes white women just arent attracted to black guys. It doesnt make them racist, they just dont find them attractive. That could apply to either a man or a woman, white or black.

I wouldn't care either way, but it'd hurt ratings. A black man wouldn't fit the audience. That's a fact.

The audience of this show is 20-60 year old, white women that never met their perfect prince charming and are still regretting their decision on settling for the first ass hole they met.

Yeah and given that they probably had the pool of bachelorettes first, then they would need to find a bachelor that 'fit' the pool of women. Get over it. While there is such a thing as mixed race marriages, let's face it, the VAST majority are same race. Tough crap, deal with it.

Now, could these guys have been treated a little better? Probably. But not everything that is race related is racist. Some people need to start realizing this...

To expand on this thought, I'm sure it's ok in their minds that BET exists and only plays shows/movies with black actors. And that they have the Black Entertainment Awards which only awards black actors, even though those same black actors get to participate in the Academy Awards...

IMHO... those shows are ridiculous. Seriously. Anyone wanting to be part of it needs their heads examined anyway. They are better off. They should walk away with their heads held high realizing that they won't be made to look like utter morons by the directors, producers and the editing department. They win.

Suing citing racial discrimination won't fly either. It's a reality show. Plus, it's Hollywood. If they can make a buck off you, they will. If they can't, you're shown the door. Maybe they were not included because they were too ugly. Who knows

I see your point but you also must remember that a bachelor of a different race would also draw in more interest(more viewers) from other races that may not be attracted to white men.................

Got the game twisted man I ain't mad over it......as far as i know maybe that did not happen to them and they are just looking for attention who knows?
As far as BET is concerned let's not forget eminem and robin thicke and jon b and other white artist have appeared on the show and won awards......the bet awards honor artist for hip hop and r&b there are not many whites in those genre's, but when they are and there are a standout they appear on that show.

I know it is. I can only speak for myself. Those I find unattractive, I myself, find unattractive. Never said everyone else would. And, no. I have not.

You get to go on a tv show, get free room, food, and if you make it far enough, kick ass vacations all over the world to do fun shit. And if you're lucky enough to be "the bachelor", you get to make out with numerous hot chicks the entire time. Who cares if you find love, that would be fun.
