Baby Sara is testing today...
Got this from Julie about 2 hours ago.
Sara is currently in still having her MRI. They got started really late because she was a very difficult stick, so it took them a long time to get the IV in! She was sedated with gas while they were trying, so at least that helped! I wasn't able to be with her during any of it. They took her from me smiling and happy.....and I was crying! But we all know that I am a wuss with this kind of stuff! Now I am just trying to kill time until she is done and waking up!
After the MRI is complete, I will be able to be with her for the rest of the testing, and there is no more poking required. They will continue to use the same IV for all her other tests!
Maureen is here, so it is nice to have company while I wait! And I just managed to stumble upon this computer that I can send and recieve emails from!
Hugs to all of you!
Julie
Our insurance approved the DNA testing needed to determine which syndrome she has, which is a huge bonus.
All this...and I should be at work. Or at least at Children's with Julie and Sara.
But no, I am home sick as fuck.
Just thought I would kick out a quick update.
MRI, ultrasound, X-rays, and blood draws today for the little one.

The good thing is that Sara doesn't know why any of this is going on.
I will just be happy to know exactly what it is. Good or bad, I want to know what we are up against.

She is home now.
Little out of it still, but she still smiled at me when she saw me, so she is faring well after all the testing. They had to knock her out to get the MRI.
Might have a blockage of the left kidney. Won't know for 100% until Monday. Either way...it isn't related to the leg/foot.
I will update as I learn things.

Thanks everyone.
Helps.
Got a little more info from Julie today. Apparently the blockage in the kidney could be related to the fat foot issue, but it isn't likely. So not holding my breath on that one.
But we have no idea what the kidney blockage consists of and if the kidney is damaged or not. Her right one is working great, so we have that going for us. May require a surgery though to fix that issue.
Monday Sara sees the urologist to determine the extent of said issue.
More to come.....

Thanks for the update, I'm happy to hear that she is doing relatively well, and also that your insurance is covering the testing.
