Sounds like he must have done a LS1 conversion! He would have done just about anything you can think of to it to get it to go that fast.

You'd be better off posting on a subie forum like Nasioc or Iwsti or something. My buddys got a WRX and my other ones got a STi, they are quick...w/ some engine managment, cam, exhaust and intake they boogie pretty good. or upgrade the turbo.

Where did you find that time? That looks a lot more like a Supra than an AWD turd...

upgraded turbo, boost controller, intake, turbo back exhaust, little giggle juice, sticky tires all around, those numbers are really easy, just ask the people with the evo's on the board

Life's simple, you make choices and you don't look back.

^if you follow that you can make a stock WRX run those times.

Easier with the STi. 2.5L single turbo, horizontal inline 4 cylinder engine. With Cobb Stage II, the car puts down about 277awhp and 316awhtq. (http://www.cobbtuning.com/images_products/3158.jpg). In reality, it's just the Accessport unit and stainless steel turbo back exhaust. That's probably good for mid to high 12's with a good driver.

As for getting an STi into the low 11's, that'd take a lot more work. Turbo, BOV, MBC or EBC, more fuel, etc. Not cheap. Like others have mentioned, he could even be running a wet shot of nitrous. If he is, probably a 50-75 shot.

I'd be more afraid of the Evo IX's. Like Hot Black Trans-Am mentioned, it's extremely easy to get them fast. For $1,300-1,500 (depending on where you get the parts), they can run 12.0-12.2 all day long (TBE, Flash and MBC).

Therefore making it a RWD STi? No idea. Naturally (with a good driver), they can pull off some pretty wicked 60 foot times due to traction.

In my personal opinion, if you put the same money into an LS1, it'd be a mid 10 second car easy with a capable driver.

I could make an estimated guess based on power to weight ratio, and a RWD drivetrain, but I'll leave this for the LT1 owners.

Depends a lot on your weight, suspension, tires, stall/clutch. I've seen guys with 400rwhp LS1s running 12.3s because they don't have any suspension upgrades and aren't running a good tire. I've also seen guys running 11.2s with 400rwhp because they have some weight reduction, 4.11s, a big stall, and a good suspension setup. Do you have an auto or manual tranny?

With a sticky tire and a good launch you should be in the 11s. It really depends on what kind of 60' times you are able to get.

Actually you can make the subie 2wd just by adding a fuse. However I don't know how this would effect the actual horsepower numbers.
