Yes cause cali is such a small out of the way state with no car enthusiasts to speak of. You can find auto-x in almost any state. Just gotta research

It is fun, but there are generally better cars for autox and therefore most guys who like f-bodies generally like them for there straight line abilities. Thats not to say they are not fun to autox

May have something to do with the pickup axle out back.. just sayin'..

Solid or "live" axles are'nt really the best for cornering, perfect for strait line racing tho..

    Just my .02

With the proper suspension set up a solid rear can still hold its own in handling, just look at the new boss 302 its still packing a "live" rear axle and still manages to pull over 1 g on a skid pad. but yea our stock set up isn't ideal for this kind of thing I'll still be giving it a go though, hell I was planing on using my truck for the event if I didn't find my car before then haha

It can hold its own but there are undeniable advantages to IRS in corners. The biggest advantage is being able to keep as much tires on the ground as possible. With live axle if one tire hits any kind of bump or uneven surface the other tire is effected and changing the angle the tire meets the ground at. Which means with IRS you can tune each side separately depending on the track you are at. Live axle can be very fast around corners and on a level track is pretty decent but IRS is still better.

Yep I agree totally that when it comes to twisties irs>live just pointing out a strait rear can still be made relevant given you have the money to do so

Im not saying that these are the best cars for this by any means, but i have sfc's lowered with sway bars and some other suspension mods and i'm normally middle of the pack racing against S2000's and subarus. I was simply saying i get more enjoyment out of this type racing and was wondering why others dont at least give it a try, these cars can do more than go in a straight line.

You might be surprised. Closest I've found to my location is 2 1/2 hours away. And that is if there is no traffic. Like that's ever gonna happen
