It annoys me if him parking like that means I can't get a spot. Some shopping areas in New Jersey get really sparse as far as parking goes. They paint parking spots in lots for people to park, nowhere does it say feel free to take up 3 spots because you wack off to your car every 5 mins. Don't get me wrong, thats a nice subaru, I understand the guy doesnt want it scratched and he has pride in his car. BUT I do find it annoying. I'm pretty sure that if a cop sees it at least in my area he'd be getitn a sweet ticket too.

The diagonal parking thing is a bit stupid, but I will take up 2 spots when the situation allows (i.e. Like you said above, I'm not taking a space away from others.)

What pisses me off just as much is the fact that they seem to be painting the spaces more and more narrow. Very annoying when the vehicles that most people around here drive are just shy of being as big as dump trucks.

A few days ago I was in a hospital parking garages and saw some dude's ride completely blocked in by 2 trucks on both sides. The guy had maybe less than a foot of clearance on both sides. (Then again, it was an "S" Mercedes so that guy was probably a prick that got what he deserved..)

Bottom line: I always respect cars that I park next to regardless of their condition it's in and I'd like to believe others do the same.

I agree with everything you said. They jus dont make spots big enough anymore is right. Regardless of whats around me I make sure I dont hit their doors or put shopping cars loosely around their car where it can hit and scratch it on them. Don't matter what kind of car it is or what year. I jus respect other peoples shit and assume they have pride in what they own. If it didnt arrive in that lot all scratched up it shouldnt leave that way on my account. Unless of course some form of an accident happens. I'm probably guilty of pushing a car across a lot or 2 into a cage and it missing jus a bit

True story, friend of mine had a beater taurus, used to take shopping carts, run full speed, and slam them into the car.
