[Flawed Logic] That's roughly 2/3 the amount of miles my car has driven in its lifetime, so it would take 33 years to get to the asteroid[/Flawed Logic]

i stopped halfway through. that vid is horribly inaccurate.

scientists have known about the asteroid for years. it was taken off of the threat lest back in '04 i do believe and doesn't pose a threat for another 100.

as for that comet being the "most massive object in our solar system." bullshit. if it were that massive it would have to be either retarded dense or so huge that it would encompass the vast majority of the space in our solar system. if it were that massive it would have had a huge gravitational field and it would have thrown off the gravitational field of our solar system. being a clod of hurtling ice and rock this isn't possible.

plasma discharge?! my ass. he showed pics of the aurora and lightning. that's not plasma discharge. aurora is ions that are ejected from the sun during a storm and hit our radiation belts and move down them toward the poles and as they strike our upper atmosphere they collide with other particles, heat up, and create a light show. it is a type of plasma...but it's not discharge. that would suggest that the earth is discharging it.

lightning is charged particles exiting the cloud for the ground. the particles move through the air so fast that they heat up and create lightning and in turn create plasma. it's ion discharge again though not a plasma discharge.

there aren't clouds of plasma hanging around. it's the most unstable of the known forms of energy and doesn't stick around for very long...just short bursts.

I didn't watch the video, because I'm not really worried about things that are 30 years away...

they are stating that has a threat potential...

wrong... it would have ensured a collision and made the earths axis tilt to meet the magnetic fields...
