Arrogant means you think your are better than someone

Ignorant means you don't know what you are talking about

Examples:

Eli Manning is an Arrogrant little prick that thought he was too good to play for a shitty team and refused to play for one if he was drafted by them.

People that think the Lions will ever be a good team are Ignorant.

Someone who is arrogant is usually pretty much full of themselves. Confident, perhaps too over confident.

Someone who is ignorant is someone who is not informed. Someone who simply doesn't know.

Neither is really a bad thing. Everyone is ignorant of something.

Great answers. I also see them both as behaviors.
People who are arrogant are usually acting as if they are better hoping to make others believe in that perception....but often they are very insecure and are really not as good as U.
People who act ignorant often know better and just don't care.
That's why it's kinda hard to separate them sometimes. Thought I'd give you a less black and white picture of how they manifest in the way people act. I'm no shrink but I've seen these behaviors in action way too many times not to notice.

You can be ignorant without being arrogant but it is less likely the other way around.
