Anyone watch "Top Gear"
Hey everyone, just wanted to know if anyone in here watches the US version of "Top Gear" the reason I ask is because I live in a small little town in Southern California that sees it's share of commercials being made etc.....my wife was driving home on her lunch and they had the right lane closed off, long story short there was Califonia State troopers blocking the lane and a couple of camera trucks....filming 3 trans am's......one she said was a 2002 yellow anniversary one...and two other older trans ams...she was unsure of their years.....but she couldn't get any pictures because the troopers were pushing everyone along.....she said the license plates had top gear on them..the windows were all limo tint, so you couldn't see in them....and she said they sounded bad ass!..just a heads up for a trans am episode coming up probably next season.....

I don't watch the American version as much as I do the british but 3 T/As sounds like a cool episode.

yeh me too...not sure how long until we see it, although i did drive around the hotel where most of the film crew and celebs stay when they're out this way, but they may have just filmed here today and gone back to LA...

I watch it, but I mute out the talking. They annoy the hell outta me and are not nearly as funny or good as the British guys. Sad thing is they usually trash the cars when they do the challenge things

US version blows. Rutfucker can not only mess up that show but he has managed to make NASCAR worse.....yes, he sucks that much.
He is a cry baby and makes girl sounds all the time and is a complete toolbad. The NJ/NYC fool is just that, a fool. Tanner is the only decent one.

i think tanner is funny in a dry humor sort of way...he has good facial expressions. rut is...well...he's something. and the other guy...what's his name...anyway...he's hilarious cause he's just d-bag completely over the top. i don't think the US version is bad at all. i had very low expectations for it but it's actually pretty good.

They need to come up with their own original ideas though. They do too much stuff that's straight out of the original, or along the same premises.

Bottom line to me is those guys do not have the personality of Clarkson, May and Hammond and personality is a very important part of making a show entertaining.
