Anyone use bark collars on their dogs??
Citronella?
Shock?
Any luck/experiences welcome.
My pit/lab mix is staying at a friends house, but she is a talker. When she is outside, she talks....a lot.
If she can't stay at my friends...she will probably end up at the pound, which I am not okay with and am trying to avoid!

One would think....
She has always been an inside dog. Now she is allowed to be in or out (doggy door) during the day, so she is outside.
She barks at the neighbors dogs....did it at my old place too when the dog was outside.
One of my friends neighbors is complaining...his young child gets woke up by the barking. I can respect that.
Trying to figure out a way to lock Zia up in a few rooms in the house for the 8 hours during the day no one is home.

I've used them. They work. You can adjust them too.
Some breeds are just barkers. Dachshunds fall into that category
And, no one likes a nuisance barker. Especially neighbors
So, I say give it a shot. You need to use it while training. Not just throw it on the dog and see what happens or for prolonged use.
However, some dogs just won't get it and continue to bark uncontrollably.
I'd hate for you to have to take her to the pound. If that seems as though it's your only solution... please at least run an ad first. Asking at least $25 so that people looking for animals to sell for animal testing don't get a hold of her.
I hope it works out for you.
