    Anyone own a Randall Knife?

Me, I am a knife fanatic and just got me my #2 and #3 Randall's this week. I bought a Model #27 with the true Elephant Ivory handle, Stainless blade, Nickle silver single hilt, solid nickle silver butt, and black sheath with sharpening stone. I also bought a custom #14 with a white micarta handle with single finger grip, Stainless steel saw blade, forward curved double nickle silver hilt, and black sheath w/sharpening stone. I have these 2 new ones along with a custom #19 with a blue commando handle, forward curved double nickle silver hilt, and black sheath.

Aah!! this hobby is just as expensive as my cars dammit.

Also have quite a few custom Damascus knives. A few limited edition yellow-horses. Some nice everyday carry Benchmades, Kershaws, spyderco's, and Cumulus. A few Auto's. Man I need to stop.

    Nah!!

I have a small Benchmade auto I won in a raffle, nice little knife sharp as hell and has kept its edge but the opening mechanism wore out so it only opens halfway now. Someday I'll get a nice larger Benchmade definately quality knives.

    I've got one of these:

BOKER APPLEGATE FAIRBAIRN BOOT KNIFE. Very solid, sturdy dagger. The kydex sheath holds the knife firm, without any overlying strap or other hinderance.

    The favorite of my collection.

Picked one up in Desert Camo at a gun show for $80.

Never had a Randall, but that looks sweet!

I do have a buck knife very similar to that second one. Think I paid $50 for it at another gun show. I like that style.

SS is great for kitchen knives, however for us I prefer a carbon spring steel, less chance of the blade breaking when used under stress.

I have 2 buck knives. A 6" folding and a 8" fixed blade. Had both since I was 16. 22 years out of a knife is pretty good I think. I call buck knives a working man's knife. They're like the craftsman of knives. They're not the best but get the job done for a decent price and are dependable.

I love knives, but believe any weapon that costs over $500 should fire a bullet I am happy with Benchmades and CRKT's.

O' I have my fair share of guns as well. I like Randall knives for their investment quality. Much better than the stock market right now.

Sounds like you need to get a couple Liles. Damn fine knives...I have a folder and a double edge Lile with a stag handle. VERY nice quality.

    It depends imo.

Look at the 'San Mai' model blades. They are high quality SS with a 'tool style steel' actual edge...

That and the 'skull crusher' pommel cannot be beat for a complete fatal hand weapon.
