They used to do good work for my car...their website down and called them and it said they were Icon Motorsports?

Anyone know a good performance shop where i can get a new z06clutch kit installed for my ls1??

For years they got tons of press via GMHTP on their stroker engines and cams. They supposedly built their engines in climate controlled rooms and shit. What did they do that made them go under? I assume they fucked people or had engines that failed prematurely?

Climate controlled my ass. I went to their shop in 2003 and had them do heads/cam install and tuning. They had a normal looking shop to me. The only thing that I saw that was special was a flow bench. Car made good power but blew up 6 months later. I had problems with oil consumption from day one. They told me that the valves needed a couple of thousand miles to seat. I disagreed and then their owner chimed in and said I didn't know what I was talking about. It was confirmed later by someone who I trust with LSX stuff that the tune was fucked up. When someone turns off your ses light so if you throw codes you don't know then they are jacked up. I tried to get them to standby their work and nothing was ever done. In retrospect I should have contacted the BBB. However, I was young and learned that never have a big named shop do work for you because they don't care about the small guy with a H/C set-up. Hell from what I heard they didn't even care about the big 427's that they were pumping out for $21K a pop.

probably too many unshipped items which required them to return their income, like in my case. never mentioned it before because when i called them for the refund it, the money was back the next day. so i didnt think much of it.
