I played one at GAMESTOP night before last. It was pretty fun........ It was kinda goofy but it was fun. It seemed like it would get old kinda quick.

I heard the Wii's were having issues with the controller. They said that people have been breaking T.V's, pictures and windows because the strap that goes around your arm has a tendency of breaking.

The whole remote thing looks really cool. I just don't know if i want to spend another $250 when I have $850 wrapped up into my ps3.

Nintendo has some cool ideas, they just seem to make them sort of childish. Case and point: Nintendo GameCube. Not many games for older gamers, while there was a plethora of games such as Mario Party, Super Smash Bros, and Super Monkey Ball. The Wii looks like it will be another of the same, IMO.

Totally agree. Most the games are childish, but the interaction is awesome.

Nintendo has always been geared for the younger generation ie kids that are less than age 16.

    Thats just my opinion

I've previously said I wouldn't play the Wii unless it had a normal controller, but my friend got one and bought it over to my house, and it was loads of fun, and we only played the sports minigames that came with the console (Wii sports, it has tennis, baseball, bowling, boxing, and one other, I forget. Apparently I can throw a 94mph fastball )

My brother has the 360, my neighbor across the street has a ps3, so I picked up the new nintendo.. after playing all 3 systems, the nintendo has far more replay value.

I have a computer for dazzling graphics and great FPS's that blow the doors off anything offered on a console...

but for sheer fun the nintendo made a winner, it already outsold the ps3 5 to 1 this holiday season and already at the halfway mark of how many 360's been sold.

as far as the games, alot of them are going to be kiddy type because the majority of buyers are parents for spoiled brats... but since its selling so well, we are going to be seeing alot of darker games on the system like resident evil later in the year, godfather comes out next month (I can't wait for motion controlled punching, head butting, and cracking peoples noses with my knee)

prince of persia is scheduled to be released, mortal kombat armageddon gets a new face lift and control system for the nintendo release.

where the game really seems to shine is in sporting games, normally on the weekend I head to my neighbors house to drink and play ps3, but since I bought the nintendo, we all end up just playing that instead.. up to 4 people playing at the same time in tennis, bowling, golf ... or bashing the crap out of each other in boxing.

I'll let you know how madden 07 is if I end up buying it next week.

I have a 360 but my impression of the wii is your going to get some really addicting games but eventually you will want something a little more mature
    IMO

    godfather and scarface not mature?

the nintendo's strong point is going to be games geared to four friends playing/drinking/talking smack/competiting

I bought the wii for the fun factor with multiplayer.. both the 360 and ps3 have very weak party games.

Honestly I'm not impressed by the graphics of either ps3 or 360... my PC smokes anything the consoles are capable of

Superior resolutions 1600 and above... check.
Faster GPU, more video memory, better use of shaders/faster pixel fill rates... check.
Larger and 20x faster harddrives... check.
More versatile then just being a game system... check.
    Far superior online play.. check.

PC still blows everything out of the water.

The point of godfather for wii rather than the 360 is being able to use the motion sensing remotes to physically beat the crap out of people.

mash a button on ps3/360 or would you rather physically do a motion to grab someone and pummel them... or swing a baseball bat at someones knee caps.

the nintendo is not up to speed in graphics as the other two systems, but the game play more than makes up for it. I still can't put wii sports down after having the system for 2 months.

i like nintendo i had a gamecube and an xbox. but i had a hard time finding games for the game cube after mario kart and zelda wore off. I think nintendo has the best first party games overall but they are for a younger generation.
i play 1 pc game. starcraft
