Anyone else want one of these Trans Ams?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Y84-S...item19c56afb80
Always wanted a bandit T/A. But I always said I'd get the Z06 first...better handling and probably 3x the gas mileage. I guess I could sell the Camaro and put this in its spot. Probably the only thing I could see myself selling it for.
This one is an auto and I don't think I could consider an auto in this car, or the vette.

Yes I do! I would really really love to have one and swap a lsx motor and t56 in it and DD that bitch. That is my dream to build and DD an old muscle car with lsx/t56.

Blue- 2000 TA
I prefer the 76 over the 79.

I don't like the headlights on the 76s as much

That one has the Olds 403.
Isn't that the turd engine, with everyone preferring the Pontiac 400?
As soon as I saw that it had a CB on the console that "doesn't work but looks fantastic", I knew that I was not the demographic he was after.

sold: 1999 firebird- 1998 Trans Am
always liked the '79-'81 cars better than the 'batmobile' '77-'78 cars. that said, I would love to see a '70-'73 car done up in the black and gold SE colors and pinstripes,
and yeah an LSX and T56 would be awesome, but a 400 and 4 speed really belong in there

There's a 1980 Formula for sale on the local CL here. 2k$. Looks good, but I still cant get over the ugly-ass safety bumpers from 79-81. And its got an auto with the 301 in it. :Poop:

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I wouldn't mind on of those either. And I agree on seeing a 73 made to look like a Bandit.

Jetstream Metallic Blue- 1978 Trans Am LS1
I owned a 1980 TA for 21 years. I loved that car...even though it had the 301. I sold it last year (after sitting in my garage for 11 years) to purchase my 1978 with the LS1. They are nice cars, but without a high cube engine and a manual tranny, no way they are as much fun as a 2nd gen with a LS1!

I like the first 76-77 year cars vs the 78-81. They look longer and not as lean to me but I like both of them.
The 403 was the big engine option after a limited run of 400 pontiac engines correct? I think they ran out of the pontiac engines from my understanding. Either way both are quite under powered and put them in a heavy car and not exactly a fast car. Though they look great.

On the shaker, T/A 6.6 was a Pontiac motor and 6.6 Litre was an Olds motor.
My 81 with the mighty 301 had T/A 4.9 on the shaker.

For a true PONTIAC fan its the 70-76 T/As.. The 455 is a beast ...esp with the SD 455s in 73 74.. I have had two 75 T/As and a great 74 Formula 455.. but would pass on a car that looks like a Bandit before it came out .. I loved the look of the Red car with white interior ...
