My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
anybody near Cape Girardeau, MO that can look at a car for me?
I'm thinking about buying a vette that was rebuilt and freshly painted. I can't make a 800 mile round trip just to takea test drive, but if someone near Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 could do so for me, i would make it worth their while and pay them $50.00.
here's the car: http://www.74auto.com/viewcar.php?id=201
here's my contact, please let me know if you can help me out!!

TS|S: Not to hijack your thread or anything, but there's a dealer nearby to me that has an 00' Vette in Yellow with chrome wheels. I don't know any more about it though, and I can't remember the pricetag. Also, just in case you didnt see it on that site, that car has an R-Title.

Dude you can't be serious...you're actually thinking of buying a 7 year old car with a rebuilt title for 20k? I'm not sure which insurance company you have but I know progressive won't fully insure a rebuilt title...so if you wreck it you're SOL. Sure it looks pretty..but it's probably been through a shit storm.

If I get up that way TS|S i'll stop in and take a quick look. What kind of price/mileage cap are you looking at? Does it HAVE to be auto?

Maybe it's state farm that i'm thinking of. I totaled my 92 silverado years ago and my dad bought it back from the insurance company. He completely cherried it out but his insurance will only cover PLPD....so it sits in the garage and just goes to shows now and then.

Well, another problem is that I'm only 21, and the chances of any car dealer letting me take a Vette for a drive is Nil i would believe. I'll stop in and see, find out some details and a price on it.

Jaison, I went and looked at that yellow 'vette last night. It's a 2000 Automatic, Yellow in color with 30Kish miles on it, they want 25,995 for it. *shrugs* however, I did find another yellow one (2000 even) in town today, however the price isn't listed and there never seems to be anybody around, but judging by the cars in the parking lot (the yellow vette, a red 2001 vette, a GTO, drag cars, choppers, etc) I am pretty sure this guy is well over the 19-20k$ mark.

black- Twin Turbo C5 Stroker WS6
Man thats way too much for an R-title...There are a half dozen 1999 and up vettes in the local autolocator with good titles for less than $20k. GOod luck on your purchase but you could find a better deal.
