Any suggestions? Books
Ok, I don't really like buying movies out here because they dont keep me occupied long enough to be worth it and I cant bring them into work. We are switching back to 12 hour shifts here soon and I would really like to order a few books from amazon. Our PX only really has Tom Clancy and other military type books which I dont like.
Anyways has anyone read any good books lately or have any suggestions. I like crime books, suspense, thriller, basically anything but romance and military novels.

You might want to try a Carlos Blake novel. I have read two of them, both excellent. Wildwood Boys about Bloody Bill Anderson and Hansome Harry about Harry Piedmont. He takes actual persons uses all the know facts about them and fills in what is not know about them from his imagination.

Well I tend to be a fan of longer books...
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan is fawking amazing... The first book is called "The Eye of the World" I do warn you though, they average 800-900 pages, and there are 11 out so far. The 12th book and final book will be out by the time you would manage to finish the first 11, lol. The last book is being done by a different author, since Robert Jordan passed away last year (RIP)
The Inheritance Cycle is also excellent... The first book is Eragon(yes, the one the movie is based on... the movie does it no justice), the second book is Eldest, and the third book(which just came out this week) is Brisngr. Theres one more book coming out in that series...
Then there is the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series by George R.R. Martin... Another excellent set of books... A Game of Thrones is the first book...

Yeah I haven't read a lot of his books because I usually don't like that kind. But.. this was recommended to me, and I couldn't put it down.

If you want a dark/sarcastic slightly twisted comedyish book... "Apathy and Other Small Victories" is definitely entertaining. If you're not easily offended. haha
