The problem is, if I run that, I have to have some legitimate law enforcement reason to do so, and if it is stolen, I have to recover it. There is telling where that thing is, and I would have LOTS of 'splainin to do if it showed up as stolen. In Georgia, an improper NCIC/GCIC check by an officer is a felony, and carries 5-10 years and 10K in fines!

You MIGHT be able to get it run in a face-to-face with a local officer, but even that is unlikely.

Sorry, man... the rules on when and how you use NCIC are very strict.
