If you're willing to deal with the rust they're dependable. If the floors are rusted check the frame and brake lines also. Those 4 litres run forever.

depending on how many miles are on it how bad the rust is im definitely open to it. Only thing I'm unsure if I like is the auto but might warm up to it. if not it shouldn't be that hard to resell

Yeah that's one of the downsides of it to me as well. But if just the floor is bad wouldn't be hard to fix and resell it

I'd say no.
If you are going to get a Jeep Wrangler, get a '97 or newer (TJ)
The YJ Wranglers ('87-'95) are the outcasts of the Jeep world.
Is this just something to bash around in the woods with? If so, the one you listed might be OK.
Or is it something you are going to keep? Avoid that one.
That one also has the auto which didn't get an overdrive until 2003. Expect poor mpg.
Best TJ years are '00-'03 since they came with the 5 speed NVG3500 transmission, thereby avoiding the Chrysler transmission curse.
The earlier Wranglers (after '89) had the AX15 which wasn't bad, and the later Wranglers had the Mercedes 6 speed which was good until it got some miles on it when it would start popping out of gear. My buddy's 2008 JK Wrangler with the same 6 speed does this now with 80k on it.
Wranglers prior to '89 had a horrendous Peugeot manual trans.
Last but not least, don't consider a 4 cylinder. The 4.0 6cyl is a great engine and is only a couple of mpg below the 4. The 4 will struggle if you ever try to use it like a Jeep.

f i decided to keep it it would most likely never see the highway so no overdrive doesn't bother me, looking for more of a put around town and occasional offroad fun.
