    any guns n roses fans?

well i know there have been rumors of a new album for like 12 years now, but with all the songs being leaked lately and axl showing up at all these parties lately, they might be back real soon. i've heard on my local rock station that the new cd would be out in march and even has done a couple of interviews lately saying he's heard the new cd and it should be released next month. keeping my fingers crossed...again.

If you're a real Guns 'n Roses fan, you'd like Velvet Revolver more than that bastardized "Guns 'N Roses" Axl has created. They have 3 members of the old band to the new "GNR"s 1.

i like velvet revolver as well. i've heard a little bit of the new gn'r and it sounds good, but not like the old gn'r. still i'm anxious to hear what axl has been working on. i dont think velvet revolver or the new gn'r will ever match the old gn'r, but velvet revolver is still awesome and kicks alot more ass than most bands out there.

Sounds Like the Rumors are True!

    http://www.newgnr.com/newgnr.html

Axel Rose with different members hmmm, No Slash, just not gonna be the same!

WTF is a Bucket Head? Apparently he or it has already left the band?

Will have to hear the new CD before I make judgments.

Don't know to much about Buckethead but here's his website. He's a little different, but a good guitar player.

GNR was a real good band. I have heard Slash on everything from Carol King to Motorhead. He was really what made the band.

That is why when I hear Velvet Revolver I think of GNR. When I hear this "new GNR" I'll think POSERS.

Must have been the bassist Duff McKagan, because Slash and Izzy are in VR.

No you are right, I fucked up. They have Duff, Slash, and Matt Sorum, only Izzy isn't there. For some reason I was thnking they had Slash, Matt Sorum, and Izzy instead of Duff.

Much like Van Halen, G'nR's first album kicked major ass, then every subsequent release was worse. Some could argue "1984" was an album back in the right direction for VH, but in general, quality reduction on each album after the first. I also heard people say that Axel just can't hit the notes any more...

I guess you could say that since Appetite for Destruction is obviously one of the greatest albums of all time, up there with Back in Black for most sales in the Hard Rock category. Every track is great. There were some awesome songs on Lies and Use Your Illusion I and II, but you are right they couldn't possibly hope to reproduce that kind of success again, albums like that are extremely rare. I refuse to believe that "The Spaghetti Incident" exists.

Buckethead is an amazing guitarist who no longer plays for GNR.
Bucketheads real name is Brian Carrol and he has played with everyone from coutry stars to kdlang to primus.

I have heard four songs of the new chinesse democracy gnr album,
and yeah a couple are good but nothing really stands out.

IRS and Oh my god, are about the only good songs...

I believe many people will be let down by this album and that axle should really just change the bands name...
