Any champagne fans here? BLAH!
Over the years I have spent $110 on a bottle of Perrier Jouët and $130 on a 10yr old bottle of Dom Pérignon. I discovered something. I HATE CHAMPAGNE! I don't get it. The expensive stuff tastes worse than the cheap stuff. Give me a $12 bottle of Korbel any day! I can tell the difference between a cheap red wine and a really nice red wine, but ALL champagne tastes like crap to me. My wife on the other hand loooooves it. I gave my 4yr old a little taste of champagne tonight and he said "that tastes yucky. Do we have any beer?" THAT'S MY BOY!!!!
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you get everything you want and deserve!!

I am also a makers mark ambassador, did you get the wrapping paper they sent out before christmas =)
As for champagne, I think it tastes like juice gone bad. I drink it at social functions all the time, but I hate it.

I like Champagne but nobody else I know does. So I usually get a bottle and end up drinking the whole thing on New Years Eve. Last night I just skipped it and stuck with just beer.

You pay $12 for Korbel? It's $7.99 at Costco.
I have a bottle of 1990 Piper Sonoma Brut Rose in the closet, waiting for some
special occasion. I hope it's still good when I finally open it.
I tasted Dom Perignon (sp?) once, it tasted like it got too warm at one time.
Good champagne is real good, but cheap champagne is awful. The good stuff
is usually expensive. Check the label. It it says "Methode Champeniose" it is
likely good stuff. If it doesn't, leave it on the shelf.

I'll just take beer. Champagne tastes like ass to me. I've drank the spectrum over the years trying it. My bro gave us Dom for our wedding......I toasted with a champagne glass full of beer.
