Antique Collectors!
Last night I was given a whole bunch of stuff for my new home. (almost closed)
I was given a set of these plates/dishes/serving for 6

They are American Limoges Lyric pattern from roughly the 1930s they are in really good shape

I seriously doubt I'll use them. They are more decorative items being their age. They can't be put in the microwave or dishwashers as it will ruin the 24k gold leaf on it

oh man...those are wonderfully hideous. i mean that in the best way possible. i have a liking for ugly old china and porcelain. my grandma died a few months back and i got her china set and silver set as well as some super old porcelain bowls from bavaria that belonged to her grandmother...probably mid 1800s vintage.

I never really was into antique glasswear or ceramics.I am more into furniture and such.Had to pass up a nice deal on a table and chair (throne) with dragons carved on them.did not have 3 k to spend. however a couple years ago I did manage to find a nice lane ceder chest for 50 $ bought it for the wife on our anniversary.She uses it for all of my sons outfits and schoolwork. alot of memories in there, his outfit we brought him home in,first chrismas outfit ,first halloween out fit. you get the picture.
I hope you are able lots of antiques to fill your "new" home
