anti-Karma paid a visit....
Let me start out by saying that I forgot to take the trash out last week.....that's an important detail later in the story.
I went out and washed my truck tonight ~2:30am. I do that sometimes. It's cooler out and less likely to leave water spots. Finished that up around 3ish. Gathered up all the trash ( last weeks and this weeks) and took it out to the end of the drive. Come back in here and get something to drink and settle down before heading off to bed.
I'm almost done with my glass of iced tea when I hear "BOOM" and tires skidding. Go outside and someone had wiped out my mail box......and my damn trash. They must've been going 70mph easy because it rocketed all 10 or so trash bags and cans halfway down the road. Obliterated my mail box.
Ended up being some drunk girl. She had the old faithful story of a "deer ran out in front of me" thing going but she was slurring like crazy even trying to peddle that story. I watched her take the sobriety test and it was almost comical how trashed she was.....the heel to toe thing was killing her.
The kicker to the story......brand new damn mailbox. Just put it up about a week ago. The one time I don't procrastinate on doing something and it cost me a mailbox. Any other time that thing would've sat in the garage for weeks.

well you could say good Karma was with you. I mean hell you did make it inside and was enjoying your tea before she came through. Instead of you being there and being knocked down the street with the garbage cans. plus you was able to see a really drunk girl cuffed

What are the chances you are going to be there to witness something like this happen, especially that time of morning? Pretty damn slim. Had you not been there, would she have been able to leave the scene with her vehicle?

That's what you get for talking shit on another man's grill bitch. Now get back to vacuuming and patching the kid's clothes

Should of asked the cops if she could help pick up the trash before they hauled her ass off

That's a shame. Why doesn't anything like this happen to me. I would've totally traded my mailbox in return for a blowjob.
And then call the cops anyway afterward
What type of trash? Good trash like paper and soda cans? Or shitty trash like dirty diapers and week old chicken carcasses? I assume judging by the speed the bags would have ruptured?

You do get to submit a restitution claim for the damages. She'll end up paying for it eventually. If her lawyer is smart, he'll recommend to her that she pay it ASAP and also send you a letter of apology.

that's reaching a long ways to find good karma
her BF showed up and offered to give me a hand picking it up. He did help a little bit but I told him not to worry about it and I would get it. He had bigger things to worry about.
I'm not worried about that mailbox....she has bigger problems in front of her right now.

well it's good karma that you weren't standing there, next to the trashcan, while she plowed into it.

better the mailbox than you, but that's still annoying.
