another ps3 vs xbox -- but for racing games ONLY

I'm thinking on getting a console.

Not sure which to get... I read lots of threads on ps3 vs 360... but mostly don't talk about racing much.
It's only purpose is racing games... I'm using my SS stock seat and fabricating a arcade style seat w/ steering wheel/pedals and so on and using a 42" plasma.

So the q? is 360 or ps3.

Pro/Con's:

ps3: no ring of death
ps3: GT5
360 forza2

no idea about good steering wheels.
Fro my understanding the new 360s have hdmi and 1080p too.
So please enlighten me... remember that it's for racing games only... nothing else.

the ring of death isn't that bad i got it and sent it back and from the time it broke i was playing it by the end of the 3rd week

PS3 = GT5 ... No explanations needed ...

Its pretty much a battle between GT5 and Forza2 ... Forza is already out, but I think GT5 is going to be a little, no --- a whole lot better.. But can you wait? (IGN has the official GT5 game coming out December 31st, 2008 ) But you could play the "Prologue" - which is $40 - and build up your cash flow and still race online.

They both have Grid and Burnout: Paradise

GT5 has no damage modeling...so you can hit a wall going 200 and not have a scratch Forza on the other hand..

I you plan on playing said racing games online against other people then get a 360..

The actual release of GT5 is suppose to support damage (explains the long wait) as well as 16 people in a race online.

The Logitech G25 looks great but seem to work w/ PS3 only.
The GT5 seems very interesting, but Forza3 is supposedly coming in 2009 too.

I wouldn't worry too much about the ring of death, i've had two 360's and neither had it...but I hear the support is good if it does crap out. I sold my launch console after 1 1/2 years to buy a computer...bought another because i missed it so much.

ps3 have the gt5 right it is the same old ps1 & ps2 game play there is no big diffirent betwen them

but the xbox360 has forza it is bitter than gt5 in many things (cars,tracks,) all most 99% diffrent in game play

i say go for the 360

if u want to see the diffirent go to youtube and write xbox360 vs ps3 gameplay and u will see the huge diffirent betwen them

also the xbox 360 have more games than the ps3

Using better grammar would help your argument. As for the games, I've already said that it would be Forza2 vs. GT5.

I've been a GT fan from the beginning, so maybe I am a bit biased. But I also own and have played Forza1 and Forza2. Are they great games? Yes. I just think that the new GT will be better.

As for the Forza3, it's expected to have 400+ cars and 100+ tracks on 2 discs, but it's not due until Quarter 3 of 2009.
