Weird, heard about this today. Wondering how some of you americans feel about it. I thought it was a bit of a surprize. Almost all the canadian beer companies have already been sold outside of canada, so I guess we're already used to this kinda thing.

yeah it kinda sucks because anheuser busch/ BUDWEISER is about as american as apple pie. but its business

Why did they wait to get bought out before they made the new Budweiser "American Ale"?

I heard that there was an antitrust suit filed by beer drinkers. Wish they would've called me....I would've signed up for that one.

This is a pretty old deal. Not to sound like an ass but Budweiser sucks and maybe being owned by a company that can actually brew good beer they will improve.

not the point. its an american standard. and its as good as it needs to be. Want "craft" brew, go buy the expensive stuff. Budweiser goes down smooth and is about working in your garage and opening and crushing can after can. its about that saturday buzz at noon.

Like I said I wasn't trying to be an ass. I only drink craft beer or imports. Bud, Coors and Miller just aren't my thing and in my humble opinion they don't qualify as good beer. I've drank a lot of different beers and my opinion is not based on anything other than my experiences with several hundreds of varieties. Sorry if you disagree with me. But we can agree to disagree.
