The despicable freestyle is sweet. It didnt get released on the recovery cd, even though he references it at the end of it. You should look it up!

i just picked up the recovery: refill version. has a 2nd cd with 7 more songs on it.

this new cd is more...violent than his last, amirite? seemed to be more "kill and fuck the corpse" type lyrics.

While he may be much better "lyrically" when compared to a lot of other rappers out there, his songs sure as hell aren't that great.

This may be off the wall, but since you brought the topic up, I personally think Gucci Mane is the best rapper out there right now, he's above Em' and everyone else out there right now IMO, but let me just say "lyrically", he may not be the greatest, I will admit that. But man, he makes some good shit, you've got to listen to him to know what I mean, hard to describe whats so great about him, you just gotta hear him rap.

cant stand a song with gucci in it. it doesnt even have to be his just him in it is a big no no imo. ive listened but never liked. but again this back and forth is all very subjective to opinions because we all have our own. personally i like someone with an original non force fed sound. i dont like the force fed pop music which is where i would put gucci, wayne, and just about anything that is on radio. royalty by gang starr is a better song than what gucci has probably heard since he got popular. most wont hear it unless it is on the radio. hell most people will never hear of gang starr period despite them being "rap fans". there is the situation that a lot of people take part in that consists of ive never heard them on the radio, not even a 1 hit wonder, so they suck. and those same people will never get to hear the true gems of the genre. personally i have listened to a lot of eminems work but there is no song that will fall into the gems of the genre category IMO. if gucci stays the way he has been he will never come close to being in that category IMO. Devin the Dude, Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, Method Man, Cunning Lynguists, 2pac, Dr. Dre, Bone Thugs, and many more have multiple songs and even some have albums that are and always will be timeless to me. i can literally pull out any of their cd's, or songs if im on the comp, no matter what mood im in and truely enjoy their work. i have to be in a mood to enjoy eminem and i have to be in someone elses car to tolerate gucci. but fortunately in that situation i prefer to drive myself.
